What is meaning by Integration Management?
Integration management ensure the management and
coordination of all activities in a project. In other word, integration
management helps in putting all pieces of a project together into a cohesive
whole. Because activities, processes and people work in a project and this need
proper planning to coordinate all these parts of the project.
Actually, integration management is the reason for project
manager’s existence in an organization. Because project manager manage and
coordinate project activities in ap project which the same purpose of
integration management as well.
- Activities will do during integration management.
- Team members perform the work.
Executing phase of the project is with project team members
perform their activities to produce project deliverables and this belong to
integration management.
- Sponsor protect the project.
There might be internal or external risks might affect the
project. Since the sponsor of the project actually spoke person of project and
initiating the project, he must protect the project from impacts of any risks.
- Project manager integrates all pieces.
There are several activities, stakeholders, processes,
project team, etc. in a project. The project manager is the ultimate
responsible of integration these aspects to meet the project objectives. While
doing these integrations, the project manager aims to do things faster,
cheaper, and fewer resources while meeting objectives.
Planning is mainly done to work through the project activities to the end and
producing a plan that is will successfully deliver results with fewer resources
and under determined budget. Therefor, the project manager ensure efficient and
effective management of a project.
