CHECKLIST TEMPLATE FOR WATERPROOFING APPLICATION

Checklist help inspector to identify the items and steps to be checked during inspection request. Checklist not have standard format we can use any format but it should include all processes steps and documents which should be checked during inspection.

In this article, we will show checklist for waterproof work.

2.0 SURFACE PREPARATION
2.1 Ensure the surface is smooth and free from any cracks, protrusions & undulations
2.2 Ensure all the corners are provided by angle fillet and sharp edges to be chamfered
2.3 Ensure clearance obtained from MEP
2.4 Ensure the area is barricaded before proceeding the work
3.0 APPLICATION OF PRIMER
3.1 Ensure the surface is dry before application
3.2 Ensure whether primer is applied uniformly
3.3 Ensure the area is barricaded before applying primer
4.0 APPLICATION OF SBS BLACK MEMBRANE
4.1 Ensure Membrane is stocked in upright at workplace
4.2 Ensure proper pipe penetration work is carried
4.3 Ensure the End / Side lapping’s are completely sealed
4.4 Ensure the Lapping is staggered
4.5 Ensure the area is barricaded while executing the work
4.6 Ensure the membrane is properly tucked into the grooves
5.0 APPLICATION OF   PROTECTION BOARD & BITUMEN SEALANT
5.1 Ensure the membrane is not got damaged
52 Ensure there is proper continuous butt joint between the boards
5.3 Ensure all the membrane is fully covered by the board
5.4 Ensure the sealant is applied properly over the groove
