Checklist Template for Columns and Walls

Checklist help inspector to identify the items and steps to be checked during inspection request. Checklist not have standard format we can use any format but it should include all processes steps and documents which should be checked during inspection.

In this article, we will show checklist for columns and walls work.

CHECKLIST FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN, WALL AND VERTICAL ELEMENTS CAST IN SITU

1.0 Formworks
1.1 Ensure formwork system is approved.
1.2 Ensure method statement is approved.
1.3 Setting out, alignment, elevation, and dimension as per drawing
1.4 Check bracing / side supports are stable
1.5 Formwork surface must be cleaned and nails, residual concert etc. have been removed
1.6 Concrete level at form works is marked by surveyor
1.7 Check existing concrete is clean and ready to   be received new concrete.
2.0 Reinforcement
2.1 Ensure reinforcement material is approved.
2.2 Check all embedded items and concrete cover are in place as per approved drawing & specification
2.3 Check the RSB distribution, diameter size allocation, splicing, covering and must rust free. Proper cleanings required.
2.4 Check dowel bars/starter bars are in place as per approved drawing
2.5 Ensure construction joints are prepared as per drawing (high-rib and other approved materials are installed as per approved MS
3.0 Pre-Pour Check
3.1 Ensure concrete design mix is approved.
3.2 Concrete levels are marked by surveyors at regular intervals
3.3 Ensure that all the area to be cast are clean free from debris, left over binding wires etc.
3.4 Ensure the enough equipment are available in site even the spare in case of emergency
3.5 Provide sufficient light during night casting
4.0 During pouring
4.1 Check that all concrete finishes is as per specification & drawings
4.2 Cold joint must be avoided by proper sequence of pour
4.3 Check for the type of curing to be done
5.0 Other Project Specific Requirements
5.1   Electrician should check all the necessary things
5.2 Safety engineer to check all safety measures
